Problem: A print shop wanted to be able to quickly quote prices for print jobs and services from anywhere in the company. Normally, they would have to rely on static price sheets that would get updated by their sales group. Sometimes these price sheets would not get regularly updated and the pricing information would be stale. Also, their existing back office system did not have the capability to store the various pricing methods for their items and services.

Solution: We developed an online quoting system to allow them to generate and print quotes for existing customers and potential new prospects. The online system also allowed quick access to pricing for their items and services for quotes over the phone. This application was incorporated into their company intranet which allowed anybody in the company to generate and print quotes for customers. The application was built on Microsoft’s .Net platform (ASP.Net/C#) and used Microsoft’s SQL Server database as the backend.
